NEWSLETTER SEPTEMBER 2015

 NEWSLETTER SEPTEMBER 2015

A weekend to forget, the one of 5th and 6th of September, for Matteo Cressoni and the guys of his Fan Club: a few hours before the 4th round of the ELMS (European Le Mans Series) in Le Castellet (France) Simone, co-founder of the Fan Club, friend and great supporter of Matteo, died in a motorcycle accident: we are all very sad, but we promise him that the Fan Club will never cease to be active and dynamic, as Simone was!
The race weekend, already burdened by the sad news, it is not gone better: despite the P2 in qualifying, Matteo, Peter Mann and the ex-F1 driver Andrea Bertolini (temporary substitute of Raffaele Giammaria, engaged in another race) have paid several setting problems of the Ferrari 458 GT2 no. 51, with an early consumption of tires than their rivals until the final breakage of the transmission, half an hour before the end of the race, that obliged Bertolini to stop the car on the track.
Archived the unfortunate performance, we all look at the last round of the 17th and 18th of October, in Estoril (Portugal), looking for a satisfying seasonal closure for the Italian-American crew of the AF Corse team.

But, before Estoril, there is a great news: taking a cue from the popular British pop group of the 80's "Frankie goes to Hollywood", we can say that "Matteo goes to Atlanta"!
Matteo Cressoni will take part, for the first time in his career, in an American competition!
The appointment is for October 1st, 2nd and 3rd on the circuit "Road Atlanta" in Braselton, Georgia, which will host the "Petit Le Mans", the last round of the TUSC (Tudor United Sportscar Championship), the GT championship organized by the American federation IMSA (managing also the NASCAR championships and all the other car competitions in the US).
We do not have, at the moment, precise details of the crew: Matteo should share the seat of a well-known Ferrari 458 with two American drivers, in order to help them and the team to win the drivers' and manufacturers’ titles.
The event, covered by the US broadcaster Fox Sports, will be visible also in streaming at the link reported in the "Live!" section of this website (the race will take place on October 3rd, from 11.15 AM to 9.15 PM, local time).

So, we can only say: Good Luck guy!
